Civilian

Densford was called by God into full-time ministry when he was 10 or 11 years old while attending a Nazarene children’s camp at old St. Mary’s Campground near Cincinnati, Ohio.  While it took him a while to get his feet firmly planted on the Solid Rock, he has now been in some form of ministry for about 30 years.

He began his theological/Biblical education at God’s Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio before moving to Colorado Springs to attend Nazarene Bible College.  At NBC he earned an Associates in Christian Education and Bachelors in Biblical Studies (1995).  He later earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Northeastern Seminary at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York (2003).  In May 2013, he received a Master of Arts in Christian Ministries (with an emphasis in “Ethics”) from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in Springfield, Missouri. Then in June 2014 he received a Master of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary in Rochester, New York. Daryl is currently working toward a D.Min. at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.

Daryl began his ministry under the mentorship of Morris Chalfant at the Norwood, Ohio Church of the Nazarene after finally accepting his call to the ministry.  He served there in various volunteer capacities for a number of years.  From 1989-1992 Daryl served as an Associate Pastor in charge of Youth Ministry at the Northern Hills (Cincinnati), Ohio Church of the Nazarene.  While studying at NBC he was the  Youth Director at the Community Congregational Church of Manitou Springs, Colorado (UCC) (1992-1994) then served as Youth Pastor at Salem Baptist Church (BGC) in Colorado Springs (1994-1995).

After graduating from NBC, Daryl served as the pastor of the Rome Church of the Nazarene (1995-1999) then the Clifton Springs Church of the Nazarene (1999-2003), both in Upstate New York.  In December 2003 he left the civilian pastorate   to become a Rev. Daryl Densford preaching in Argentinachaplain in the Army where he continues to serve (more details on his military career on the “Military” page).

So far, Daryl has lived, traveled, studied, worked or ministered in: Afghanistan, Argentina, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Iraq, Jamaica, Korea, Kuwait, Slovakia, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Poland, Qatar, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States.
