Books at Middlemay Farm has nominated me for The Very Inspiring Blogger Award. Thanks Books at Middlemay Farm, it’s always great to know someone gets inspired from something you write, much less that anyone is reading it! (I guess you didn’t see my political rants!)
.
Anyway, the rules of this award are:
1. Display the award logo on your blog
2. Link back to the person who nominated you.
3. State seven things about yourself.
4. Nominate fifteen other bloggers for this award and link to them.
5. Notify those bloggers of the nomination and the award’s requirements.
.
Seven things about myself:
1. I’m an Army Chaplain.
2. I’ve been to 22 other countries (23 if you count the U.S.).
3. I’ve deployed with the Army to Iraq and Afghanistan.
4. I have 5 children, 2 still at home (2 boys, 3 girls).
5. I’ve been married over 25 years.
6. I’m a 4th generation member of the Church of the Nazarene.
7. I nearly drowned as a child after being knocked over by a wave at Myrtle Beach.
.
My nominees are (in no particular order):
4. As You Go
11. Connections
12. Hadley Writes
13. Attila Ovari
14. Green Light Lady
.
There you have it. Not sure what it may mean or how legitimate it may be but I did follow the “nominations” back several bloggers just for fun and it keeps going…and going…and going… I don’t see how it hurts anything and if nothing else it will pass on some pretty good blogs (and maybe even a few more hits). If you want a “purer” blog of instructions, see my nominator’s at Books at Middlemay Farm.

Hi Daryl, Congratulations on your nominations!
I hope you have a good sense of humour! I tried to find your email address to write to you, but couldn’t find it so realised that its just funny that yet again even in correcting my mistake that it is now being made even more public here, but its good to laugh at ourselves!!! In regards these bloggers awards (which I had never heard of before) I was hurriedly checking my emails a while back & found a msg that appeared to be to me but I just learned that instead it was a comment that you sent to Scott Sholar that was sent to my email. Other’s comments to blogs I follow have never been emailed to me before, & your comment did not mention anyone’s name, so since it was sent to my email of course at first look it appeared to be an email to me. I read the msg you wrote, & then I responded as though your msg was for me so you can imagine my surprise when I was just going through Scott’s blog to find your exact msg there sent from you to Scott, and with my reply underneath it. I checked my email & sure enough when I looked really closely I could finally see that I’d been emailed your msg to him, & it wasn’t to me at all. Instantly my face went hot & red from embarrassment for a few moments till I realised how funny it was that my mistake was publicly visible for all to read on Scott’s blog, so its no problem exposing my mistake publicly here also. Its actually a really good feeling to be able to laugh at myself and to not be afraid of any lack in myself. So join with me in laughter at how humorous it is just to be human in this crazy world, & in thanking Jesus that He enables us to get some stuff right! LOL
PS. At least it caused me to find your blog & check it out. Congratulations & blessings to you in all you are doing!
