I recently came across a few pictures of some of my ancestors and are looking to identify the ones I don’t know. I’ve posted them below, with the names that I may or may not have right. Thanks! Big help! Laura found a box in her basement which had Mom & Dad’s pics in them (some of them) so I brought them home to scan. There were several more which I could ID, which I’ll try to add . . .

#9 Eginhart and Alice in the center. On the right, Louis Ihrig(Eginhart’ s brother) and his wife,who is Alice Lancaster’s sister. Can’t think of her first name.
#9 The lady seated on the right – Arlura Lancaster Ihrig, sister of Alice Lancaster Ihrrig. The gentleman on the right – Louis Ihrig, brother of Eginhart Ihrig and husband of Arlura. I just keep thinking of something else!
I think picture 5 is Grandpa Foster (grace’s father) and Mary Ann

#8 I really believe that the gentleman standing in front of car is Charles Britton, Everitt’s nephew. The girl standing is Berniece Ihrig, definitely. the other girls are probably Charles Britton’s sisters. They are the children of Ollie Newkirk Britton and Howard Britton.
# 8.. Charles Britton had 4 sisters all very close in age. I do think these are the Britton girls, and probably Ruth Newkirk seated inside the car.

Cheryl, I have been digging into the family tree for many years and have learned alot that way. One learns how to identify by many different means, who could it be, who would it not be, how old do they look to be in relation to other family members, who would be hanging out together in a partiular place, looking through many old photos so that you know what they look like, and on and on. If I relied only on my memory, I would not be able to identify anyone!

On pic 11 – back row from left, after Joseph Newkirk is William H. Newkirk, Melissa Newkirk and her twin sister Agnes Newkirk. On the first row are the rest of the sisters, can’t remember their names, but all are Joseph Barker’s children. I am William H. Newkirk’s granddaughter, Betty Newkirk Kearns of Ashland, KY.
